My pregnancy predated chickenpox (varicella) vaccine

I support immunization because I contracted chickenpox when I was 3 months pregnant. It led to a very long pregnancy full of fear and trepidation about the health of my new baby. Thankfully he was a healthy infant but it took me a little time to bond with him as I was afraid that I would lose him. My pregnancy predated chickenpox (varicella) vaccine, but my hope is that no woman experiences such a stressful pregnancy due to a vaccine-preventable disease.
